Client: ESDESIGN (Master's final project)
Context: The migration process requires several stages of complex procedures that change from case to case; often people are left unprotected and their immigration status is at risk due to misinformation.
Solution:
A platform that stores the entire migration process, clearly displaying the history (past, present, and future) of all procedures, accessible to individuals or families. Through a clear yet user-friendly design, it provides users with a clear path to achieving their desired immigration status and an organized space to keep important documents readily available for future procedures.
Since it is a process full of anxiety, a warm image, bright colors and spacious areas are chosen to provide a sense of calm and refuge for users.
Goals:
To make available to users different possible paths to follow to achieve a legal immigration status.
A tool for organizing documents in an orderly manner for one person or several, depending on the type of profile (individual or family).
Presenting information in a clear and user-friendly way to provide reassurance to users going through a migration process
To provide resources and access to communities that may be of use.
Work experience
Continuing with the idea of a "path forward," the user experience is designed with a focus on time, addressing past needs such as storing and organizing documents, present needs such as tracking ongoing processes and real-time status updates, and future needs, summarized in the question, "What's next?" This question is the backbone of the project. We have a primary focus on the future of our users, as tomorrow's anxieties are what cause the most worry. This is addressed with a series of resources that outline the steps to follow, tailored to each user and each member of their family, the time required, and the order in which these steps must be taken to resolve the immigration status of the group or individual as quickly as possible.

The resources provided are divided into practical and psychosocial. The former relate to organization and the delivery of specific information, while the latter involve connecting users with communities, relevant individuals, emergency resources, support networks, and other resources. Part of this platform involves creating an active digital community where people who have already gone through the migration process are willing to help new migrants or welcome them into their communities. This provides access to what is already happening spontaneously on Facebook and WhatsApp.

Work experience

One of the major challenges of having a platform that brings together many profiles in a single account is that we need constant clarity on who the person is whose route or process we are viewing, but also to switch between profiles quickly for access.
efficient in providing information to the whole family.
For this purpose, a tag system is developed that appears at the top of the screen on the Historical Route, Documents, and Calendar pages.
The buttons are constantly kept at the top of the screen so that the user always has a view of which profile is active and can switch between them without scrolling back to the home screen.

Key points:
Design focused on clarity of information.
A highly customizable platform for each client; it is necessary to define organizational modes, user roles, and graphic details before implementation.
Creation of the “Overview” space as a search and organization tool.
